Join the KAA

Any member of Kansas bargaining Unit 16; or any commissioned law enforcement employee of the Kansas Bureau of Investigations, Kansas Department of Revenue, Kansas Fire Marshal, Kansas Racing & Gaming, Kansas Securities Commission, Kansas Lottery, Kansas State Gaming Agency, or the Kansas Office of the Attorney General, of any rank, is eligible and encouraged to join the association. Additionally, retired law enforcement employees of these agencies are eligible to join.

Membership dues are $9.00 per Paycheck/$234.00 annually*. Dues include membership within a Legal Defense Plan for commissioned employees. Retired members are not charged dues, however retired members have the option of subscribing to the Legal Defense Plan for $90.00 annually.

*Membership dues will increase to $12.00 per paycheck beginning January 2026
